The present invention relates to a diagnostic device, a comb device for the detection of infection with malaria parasites in whole blood. More specifically, the subject invention relates to a process for making a comb device and a kit for analyzing the presence of infection with malaria parasites present in whole blood. It is a visual, rapid, sensitive and accurate test device for the qualitative detection of infection with malaria parasites in whole blood.
