In this application is disclosed a process for producing 3,9-bis (2-chloroethyl)-2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro 5.5 undecane comprising a step of reacting acrolein, pentaerythritol, and hydrogen chloride at one step, according to which the compound can be obtained conventiently in high yields.
