A novel reading device for partially sighted low vision person, consisting of a platform made up of plastic or wooden or any other rigid material and which has two sliding channels one on each of two sides which helps it to slide horizontally (‘Y’ axis) and which has two vertical rods of a height of approx. 100mm length fixed on each of these two sides and having at the other end of these rods is fixed a horizontal rod called a bridge for holding and sliding a camera which is housed in a specially designed plastic or a suitable material case with a square slot with perpendicular base so that the lens of a camera is fixed in it and is pointed downwards and focused on the material kept on the aforesaid platform for reading and which camera can slide horizontally (‘X’ axis on the bridge, the said platform and camera can be made to slide according to user’s requirement, this arrangement can be further connected to a PC through a modem like device or alternatively directly to a T.V. which projects the magnified letters of the reading material for easy reading.
