The invention relates to a comprehensive system for election process comprising: a voting system comprising one or plurality of ballot unit/s, one or plurality of control unit/s, a data server comprising removable data storage device/s, server monitoring unit working in tandem with each other thereby ensuring reliable and secure election by integrating processes such as identification and authentication of the voter, capturing voters choice, processing and displaying the election results for election. A process for conducting secure and reliable elections using the system is also disclosed.
