DYNAMIC COMPRESSION AND INTERLOCKING NAIL FOR HUMERUS.

Application 104/BOM/1999 published 2006-05-05, filed 1999-02-10
This invention is related with Orthopaedics it is an implant made for fracture shaft humers (Bone of Arm). It is an Intermedulary (IM) Nail which gives Dynamic Axial Compression with Proximal & Distal Interlocking facility without using C-Arm (Open Method) with C Arm Close Method. For better and earlier union of Fracture (#) following are some of the other Factors as implants are concerned. a) Stable Fixation of Fractutre Fragements b) rotational stability c) Compression of Fracture Reduction & Fixation. (That means not disturbing Environment & Haematoma at # sit. This nail gives primary axial compression effect which is unique quality of this nail. Also gives secondary Dynamic Compression. Gives proximal & Distal interlocking without using C-Arm (Both proximal & distal jigs are available) hence exposure to radiation is minimised. Can be operated by close method (with C-Arm) or open method where C-Arm is not available. Early mobilisation of shoulder & elbow. Economical. Drawing: 02 Sheets. Total Pages: 07. Fig. Nil
