The present invention provides a ply-component herbal formulation for the prevention of common ailments in general and an effective remedy for anginal pain and cardiac disorders like dysponea, hypertrophy, valvular inefficiency and heart oppression. The herbal formulation provided by this invention is based on the plants easily available in Himalayan region. The plants used in present formulation are Crataegus oxyacantha, Rhododendron arboreum and Punica granatum, The fruits of Crataegus oxyacantha are collected from its natural habitat and washed thoroughly to remove the dirt and dust particles adhered to the surface. These fruits can be either fresh or oven dried or sun dried. The similar procedure is also followed in case of Rhododendron arboretum where flowers were taken in place of fruits. The well ripened fruits of pomegranate is used to extract the juice which was further concentrated to obtain a concentrated liquid. The clean and dried fruits of Crataegus oxyacantha and flowers of Rhododendron arboretum are boiled to extract the juice. These two extracts are mixed in and boiled with sugar. Finally Punica granatum seed juice is added to the product. Such a beverage concentrate is mixed with a glass of water to prepare the beverage ready to drink.
