The invention concerns a mill comprising: a horizontal rotary drum (11, 12, 13) whereof each end is supported on a journal (14, 15) axially traversed by a tube (41) around which it defines an annular conduit (35); a vertical pipe system (6) emerging in the proximity of said journal at the level of a guide element (31) for guiding the material to be milled transmitted by the pipe system towards the drum; an outlet conduit (36) communicating with the annular conduit for discharging the mixture consisting of gas and the milled material, outside the drum. Each journal contains a helical structure (32), in the form of a screw conveyor, fixed thereto and rotating therewith about the tube, when the drum is rotating, said tube being a rigid gas-injecting tube which is maintained fixed.
