The invention relates to a high frequency sine wave inverter which is most suitable for running sophisticated equipmendt and odther house hold appliances like DVDs, VCDs, ECG machines, tube lights, fans, T.V., computers and microwave oven etc. etc. The present invention, because of high frequency operation, weights less than the existing inverters of same rating. This drastic reduction in weight makes it easily transportable and gives it a sleek look apart from other advantages. The inverter comprises a DC-DC converter which converts the battery voltage to a higher voltage, and then it has a H-Bridge inverter which is fully governed by a powerful microcontroller. The oudtput of this inverter is finally filtered to pure sine wave using tuned LC filters. The inverter is capable of completely eliminating the traditional bulky 50Hz transformer. The battery charger comprises of an SMPS based topology which gives pure DC current to the battery and hence enhances the battery life.
