UNIVERSAL JET DYEING MACHINE.

Application 595/BOM/1999 published 2005-12-30, filed 1999-08-24
An universal jet dyeing machine comprising of an autoclave (1) substantially of annular duct form placed horizontally and provided with a pair of inlets-cum-outlets (11,12) at its top side for feeding the fabric to be dyed and for taking out the dyed fabric, a basket (2) substantially of annular duct form made of spaced apart rods or perforated sheet, open at top end and adopted to be rotatably placed inside the said autoclave (1), a heat exchanger (13) having connecting means for circulating heating media such as steam or thermal oil, for increasing the dyeing liquor temperature, connecting means for circulating cooling water for cooling the liquor, before disposal, after dyeing the fabric, a pump (20) with prime mover (21) and speed controlling means (36) connected to the bottom side of the autoclave (1) for circulation of dyeing liquor through the autoclave (1), a fresh water supply line (40) connected to the inlet side of the pump (20) and discharge/outlet side of the pump (20) being connected to the inlet side of the said heat exchanger (13), a dyestuff and chemical service tank (19) connected to the inlet side of the said heat exchanger (13), a dyestuff and chemical service tank (19) connected to the inlet side of the pump (20), a pair of nozzles (22,23) for producing liquor jets, one each, at the said inlet/outlets (11,12) of the autoclave (1) and connected to the discharge side of the said heat exchanger (13) through flow control means/regulators, such as valves, a pair of fabric pilling mechanism (30,31) provided, one each, at the top of said inlets/outlets (11,12) for producing wavy form of the fabric rope while feeding into said basket (2), a pair of sensors (26,27) provided, one each, at the said inlets/outlets (11,12) for sensing the fabric movement and giving signals to the electronic control devices for operating the nozzle (22,23) jet one by one (only one at a time), thereby intermittently reversing the direction of fabric movement and simultaneously synchronizing the basket (2) movements in forward and reverse direction as well as according to the variation in fabric movements, which may be caused by variation in the liquor jet flow of any of the two nozzles (22,23), a frame work and platform for supporting and mounting the said autoclave (1), heat exchanger (13), pump (20) and prime movers/motors (21) on the ground.
