Disclosed herein is a phase modulated full bridge converter characterized in that snubber winding is tightly coupled to secondary and having same number of turns as primary, the primary and secondary being connected to load, the set snubber winding being placed proximate to secondary and having its one end connected to main power supply through a bridge rectifier such that the leakage inductance between snubber winding and secondary being rendered negligible by twisting the two windings together and the energy stored in the leakage inductance being fed to input source.
