The invention relates to a plate holding device (1) which is fixed to a substructure by means of a connecting element (4) connected to the substructure (2) in a rotationally fixed manner. Said connecting element (4) comprises a connecting thread (6, 6') for connecting to a spacer element (3, 3') used to distance the plate from the substructure (2), said spacer element comprising a connecting thread (6, 6') on the end (7) thereof facing the plate, for connecting to a plate holder (5). According to the invention, the spacer element (3, 3') can be axially adjusted and fixed in relation to the connecting element (4) and the plate holder (5). (FIG. - 1)
