Application 719/DEL/2005 published 2006-12-01, filed 2005-03-31
The present invention provides a fabric bag making machine which comprises in combination a fabric cutting and conveying unit (FCCU), a hemming station assembly consisting of a simultaneous multi edge-folding and stitching unit (SMESU) and a mid-folding and material guidance unit (MMGU) and a simultaneous parallel side stitching unit (SPSS) to perform operations like cutting, hemming, mid-folding and simultaneous parallel side stitching in synchronized manner. The sequential integrated operation of the said units in combination is done through computerized control resulting in total automation of all manual, semi-automatic or partly automatic processes. The bag making machine of the present invention enables manufacturing of bags in a single setup from continuous supply of fabric material by controlled process of unwinding, cutting of fabric to required length, simultaneous both edge folding and stitching to form hemmed mouth followed by mid-folding and parallel side stitching. Parallel side stitched and mouth hemmed bags are preferable to bottom and one side stitched bags because of their superior quality.
