In a motorcycle 10 including: an engine 15 in which a cylinder block 25 is extended upward on a crankcase 24; an exhaust port 41 provided on a front portion of the engine 15; an exhaust pipe 17 which is extended forward of the engine 15 from the exhaust port 41, extended downward once, and thereafter, extended toward the rear of a vehicle body 50; and a catalyst 51 placed in the exhaust pipe, an exhaust gas purifying apparatus is characterized in that the exhaust pipe 17 is allowed to pass along a side of the cylinder block 25, and the side of the cylinder block 25, and the catalyst 51 placed in the exhaust pipe is positioned on the side of the cylinder block 25.
