An Offset piston IC Engine comprising a cylinder (1) closed at one end by cylinder head (2) and the other end being open, a piston (4) reciprocatingly provided inside the said cylinder (1), a piston link (9) connected to the said piston (4) at one end and the other end flexibly connected to the connecting rod (5), the said connecting rod (5), flexibly connected to a crank pin (6) and the said crank pin(6) is rigidly connected to a crank shaft (8) the arrangement being such that the piston axis (B-B) is set away from the axis (A-A) of the crank shaft (8) and the said two axis do not intersect each other.
