A syringe needle receiving device includes a barrel, which has two stop portions near the rear side, and an adapter for connecting a needle hub to a fluid cylinder that is mounted in the barrel and equipped with a plunger for drawing a fluid from a vial into the fluid cylinder through the needle hub and the adapter and driving the fluid out of the fluid cylinder into a patient's body, the adapter having springy wings that are radially compressible for enabling the adapter to be inserted forwards through the stop portions into the barrel during assembly of the hypodermic syringe and to be pulled backwards with the needle hub by the fluid cylinder over one stop portion and stopped in between the two stop portions to hold the needle hub and the needle cannula inside barrel.
