: VOLUMETRIC DISPLACEMENT FLOW METER WITH WET SPECK SCANNING

Application 1388/KOLNP/2004 published 2006-05-26, filed 2004-09-20
The invention relates to a volume meter comprising a measuring chamber which is arranged inside a housing, and through which a liquid flows. Said volume meter also comprises at least one rotor which is rotatably mounted in the measuring chamber such that it is perpendicular to the flow direction of the liquid. A volume flow of the liquid can displace said rotor in a rotational movement which can be used to quantitatively measure the volume flow. At least one signal generator is connected to the rotor in a rotationally fixed manner. The volume meter comprises a sensor for signal formation, said sensor being arranged in the housing. The inventive volume meter is characterised in that the at least one signal generator is a flat signal disc comprising defined regions which can be detected by the sensor, and the at least one signal disc is arranged directly above the rotor(s), on a projection thereof, outside the measuring chamber but inside the housing.
