: AN UV FILTER SYSTEM AND AN UV PROTECTED ARTIFICIAL LAMP SOURCE.

Application 371/KOL/2006 published 2006-06-02, filed 2006-04-24
An UV Filter system (UVS) adapted for arresting unwanted and harmful UV radiation from natural and artificial ultraviolet sources. The UV filter system (UVS) involves an UV attenuating transparent barrier obtained selectively of polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) as a transparent barrier adapted to synergistically attenuate the UV emission through said barrier. The UV filter (UVS) is advantageously cost effective and can thus be easily affordable and be readily and widely applied/used as an UV Filter for variety of end uses and applications. Moreover, the filter system (UVS) of the invention is found to be suitable for high temperature operations and therefore, is directed to serve in varied high temperature application/used as an effective UV barrier. Variety of artificial light sources (LMP) can be provided in an UV protected form involving the UV filter/barrier (UVS) which would ensure safe and healthy maintenance of life style in the present day conditions of almost regular and continuous exposure to such artificial sources involving varying UV radiations.
