Packaging containers manufactured from cold formed composite material, by which is to be understood cold formed base parts or lidding part or base and lid parts. The base parts or the lid parts may be shaped by cold forming and a lidding film or a base film may reppresent the closure of the container, Both the base and the lid part may be shaped by cold forming, whereby the recesses in the base and lidding parts usefully lie one over the other. Examples of the packaging from which the packaging container or thereof are manufactured,exhibit a layered structure containing: a) a plastic film of thickness 10 to 250 um, b) a biaxially or uniaxially streched film of the polyvinylchloride, polyolefin, polyamide or polyester type having a thickness of 10 to 100 um, or a biaxially or uniaxially streched plastic film laminate of two films of the polyvinylchloride, polyolefin, polyamide or polyester type each having a thickness of 10 to 50 um, c)a metal foil of thickness 10 to 250 um, and a1) a plastic film 10 to 250 um. The packaging container is characterised by a high degree of flatness and/or stiffness.
