The present invention relates to new pseudopolymorphic forms of 2-[2-[4-[bis(4-fluorophenyl)methyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid dihydrochloride, namely, anhydrous 2-[2-[4-[bis(4-fluorophenyl)methyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid dihydrochloride and 2-[2-[4-[bis(4-flurophenyl)methyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid dihydrochloride monohydrate. It also relates to processes for the preparation of these pseudopolymorphic forms and to phrmaceutical compositions containing them.
