AN IMPROVED PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SOLIDIFIED FUEL MADE FROM ETHANOL AND/OR METHANOL

Application 288/BOM/1999 published 2006-07-07, filed 1999-04-16
An improved process of manufacturing solidified fuel made from ethanol and/or methanol comprising the following steps: 1. Digesting modified cellulose in methanol and/or ethanol in a reaction stainless steel vessel with continuous stirring for a period of 1 to 2 hours 2. Pouring water to the digested modified cellulose of step 1 to viscous mass. 3. Digesting vinyl co-polymer preferably vinyl polymer of carboxyl groups in methanol and or ethanol in a separate stainless steel reaction vessel with continuous stirring for a period of 2 to 3 hours. 4. Pouring water to the digested vinyl co-polymer of step 3 to get viscous mass. 5. Mixing slowly with continuous stirring the viscous mass of step 2 with viscous mass of step 3 in the reaction vessel of step 3 over a period of 1 ½ to 2 hours. 6. The resultant mixture of step 5 is then stirred for another 1 ½ hours in a slow steam so as to get the scoopable viscosity to yield to solidified fuel. Drawing: NIL Total Pages: 9 Fig. Nil
