A burner windbox for the furnace of a fossil fuel power station boiler, the windbox comprising both stacked nozzles (9, 9’, 10, 11, 11’) extending in a particular direction to direct air to the interior of the furnace, each nozzle being mounted so that it can be pointed in direction, and a mechanism for simultaneously tilting the nozzles, the windbox being characterized in that the aforesaid mechanism comprises a rod (13) common to a set of adjacent nozzles (9, 9’, 10) and linking rotary drive pivots (9B, 9’B, 10b) respectively provided on the adjacent nozzles, and in that the link is provided with a system (13C, 13’C) between two drive pivots of two adjacent nozzles for adjusting the distance between those two drive pivots.
