A process for preparation of 30 kd protein antigen/antibody useful as marker for TBM in CSF which comprises electroelutioning (i) identification of 30 kd protein band found in the CSF of TBM patient by known method herein before described (ii) isolating the protein band of step(i), by electro elution method (iii) optionally raising antibodies against 30 kd protein antigen and isolation by known methods (iv) characterizing by known method the presence of antigen 85 complex specific for TBM to obtain the 30 kd protein antigen/antibodies.
