A DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT OF TEXTILE RING DIMENSIONS

Application 533/MUM/2003 published 2006-06-16, filed 2003-05-26
A device for precision measurement of atleast the critical dimensions of atleast one textile spinning ring ( R) to monitor the operational wear and tear of said textile spinning ring ( r), the critical dimensions measured comprised internal diameter (D), flange width (F), web thickness (W), and back-tracking thickness, the device comprising a pair of spring-loaded roller (B) for releasably holding said textile spinning ring ( R) disposed invertedly such that the ring ( R) can manually be rotated to provide access for measurement of an internal diameter around the entire circumference of the ring ( R); a reference pin (A) disposed for measuring the internal diameter of the ring ( R); and a sensor (S) for sensing the distance with reference to the reference pin (A) which is equal to the internal diameter (D) of the ring ( R), the diameter variations being sensed by the sensor (S) during the manual rotation of the ring ( R), the measured values being digitally displayed simultaneously during the measurement.
