An improved tamper proof fusion seal comprising: a hollow flat rectangular receptacle consisting of two members attached with each other, the said members when folded and snap fitted with each other forms said hollow flat rectangular receptacle which is closed at bottom end and having an opening at the top, the inner surface of the walls of the receptacle defining a space where a metal spring is encased, the said metal spring defining a peripheral seat spaced apart from the closed end of the receptacle, there is a lug and a gap provided on each of the said members such that when two members are folded the lugs remain one above the other and fit in to the gaps of each other and form a channel co-axial to the open end of the receptacle, one member provided with projections and the other member provided with complementary grooves for snap fitting of the both members to form the receptacle, a flat insert, the said insert having at its top end a capping, having at its bottom end a shaft in the middle and a pair compressible flukes on its both sides, a hole in the middle and at a desired distant below the capping another pair of flukes, one on each narrow side of the insert and pair of upwardly inclined steps, one on each broad side of the insert being provided, such that when the flat insert is made to pass through the groove of locking clamp after closing the drum ring of a drum, the flukes of the insert get compressed and slip through and the upper flukes near the top end of the insert lock with the top of the locking clamp in horizontal direction and the inclined steps lock with the top of the locking clamp in vertical direction from inside and when the receptacle is moved upward the lower flukes of the insert is compressed and slipped through the channel defined inside the receptacle and the narrow passage made by the metal spring below it, the said lower flukes then interlocks with the said seat defined by the metal frame.
