The invention relates to a honeycomb core having neither anticlastic nor synclastic properties. It comprises of a plurality of cells having identical shape made of a ribbon looped into a cell having a shape with poission's ratio close to zero. Each cell is attached to the adjacent cell to form a honeycomb core which when stretched along one direction do not bend in the perpendiculoar direction.
