This invention relates to an improved friction forming process including a friction forming machine with a tool and fixtures. This machine comprises a column having an upper end and a lower end, the upper end connected to a head stock, the lower end being a fixed to a base, a spindle interposed in the head stock being rotatable by a motor via a belt-pully device means, the lower portion of the spindle provided with a tool holder, a table intermediately disposed on the column and being rotatable by a hand-wheel, the table accommodating a job-piece being releasably attached on the table by a fixture and a forming tool being provided for fixing on the tool holder for forming a shape by generating heat when touchingly rotated on the surface of the job-piece.
