This invention relates to purification of fatty acids. Hitherto, fatty acids are known to be used in premium quality products like soaps and toiletries. Hence they need to be free from colouring and odoriferous bodies. The object of this invention is to purify fatty acids, obtained from vegetable oils and fats having even chained carbon atoms ranging from C6 to C24, with chemically active bleaching agents.
