A new formulation and process of preparation for the Transdermal Local Anaesthesice ointment, comprises taking Lignocaine and soft paraffin in the proportion of 40 : 60, heating till both melt, and stirring while allowing to cool to room temperature, making a homogeneous mixture of Lignecaine ointment, which is useful for skin anesthesia after application on skin, for not less than 2 hours.
