MULTI TRAY FLUIDIZATION TECHNIQUE
Application 361/MUM/2004 published 2006-08-04, filed 2004-03-25
Multi tray fluidization technique conducted at laboratory scale employs five beds of solids, placed one above the other at a distance of 30 c.m. Each bed is at 100 m.m. dia and 30 c.m. length. The unit has a common conical inlet and a common outlet. Additional miets of 12.5c.m. dia are also provided at the side of the top four beds. At steady state, achieved within minutes, this new technique consumes less than 50% power as compared to the convention fluidization method. This technique can possibly be applied to fluidization operation in catalytic reaction, drying etc. Drawing: 1 Sheet Total Pages: 6 Fig. Nil
