Application -1425/DEL/2004 published 2006-08-18, filed 2004-07-30
A process for the preparation of novel rhodium carbonyl complexes which comprises preparation of rhodium (1) carbonyl complexes containing chloride and nitrogen-oxygen based donors ligands such as aldehyde substituted pyridine, ester substituted pyridines, ester substituted aniline by reacting chlorobridged dimeric complex [Rh(CO)2Cl]2 in an organic solvent like CH2 C12, CHC13 etc. with one or two molar equivalent (Rh : ligand= 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 mol ratios ) of the respective ligand under nitrogen atmosphere at room temperature for a period of about 1 hour under stirring condition.
