A process for the preparation of an analgesic composition comprising morphine and nimodipine dissolved in a solution containing polyethylene glycol. A composition which comprises the ratio of morphine and nimodipine are present between 1:1 to 1:5. A composition wherein nimodipine is dissolved in a solution o polyethylene glycol, normal saline and alcohol.
