A dibbler for use in seed planting is described and comprises a pipe-like member having a seed container and cutting means located at the ends thereof and a feeding means located therebetween, said cutting means being adapted to cut into the soil when a force is applied on the dibbler and said feeding means comprising a cylindrical member rotatably mounted in a housing and having one or more cavities located thereon,and adapted for receiving seeds from the container and discharging them into the lower portion of said pipe-like member upon rotation of said cylindrical member. During operation the discharged seeds roll into the soil from the lower end of the device. The preffered embodiment comprises a pipe the lower end of which is diagonal1y cut to form said cutting means.
