: “ A PROCESS FOR CONVERTING SYNTHESIS GAS TO MECHANICAL POWER”
Application 1727/DEL/2004 published 2006-07-21, filed 2004-09-13
A process for converting synthesis gas to mechanical power, the process comprising the steps of: vaporizing a predominately liquid mixture to obtain the feed steam which includes one to six molar parts steam and one molar part dimethyl ether; passing the feed stream at a temperature of 150 to 8000C to the hydroshifting reaction zone to produce the synthesis gas stream; mixing an oxidizer stream including oxygen with the synthesis gas stream and combusting the synthesis gas stream to produce heat and a combustion product stream; and driving a turbine with the combustion product stream to produce an exhaust stream and to generate mechanical power.
