CHEMICALLY DEPOSITED NANOCRYSTALLINE AND POROUS TITANIUM DIOXIDE FILM

Application 1337/MUM/2004 published 2006-07-21, filed 2004-12-15
This invention provides a method for depositing titanium oxide containing coatings on a suitable substrate. The chemical bath consists of an aqueous solution of titanium (III) chloride with pH ranging from 1.5 to 6.5. The substrate is immersed in chemical bath to deposit titanium oxide coating on it. The titanium oxide coatings are large area, porous and nanocrystalline in structure and therefore are particularly useful in photcatalysis Drawing: 03 Sheets. Total Pages: 15. Fig. Nil
