AN UNIQUE DEVICE FOR DETECTION OF SPURIOUS PAPER ROLLS OR FILM ROLLS FROM THE ORIGINAL ONES ON MACHINES LIKE PRINTING
Application 1050/MUM/2003 published 2006-07-21, filed 2003-10-08
A device for detection of spurious paper rolls or film rolls from the original ones on machines like printing comprising a machine on which a paper roll or a film roll (1) is mounted, said machine having a roll core (2) in the form of a hollow cylinder comprising an interior surface and an exterior surface, said surfaces having a core wall in between, wherein bi-polar or multi-polar magnets (6) depending upon the type of roll, such magnets are embedded at unique location and said location of magnets being dependant on polarity of magnets, type of rolls, the machine and type of core, a roll carrying shaft (4) or body arranged centrally on the machine having paper or film roll (2) mounted on it, said shaft in turn embedded with multiple reed relay switch sensors (5) located near the surface of said roll such that said sensors produce detectable signal proportional to the location and depending upon the number of poles of the magnet, said reed relay switch sensors having lead wires in turn connected to a signal conditioner electronic circuit (3) to receive the signal so generated by said reed relay switch sensors to detect the original or spurious roll depending upon the nature of the signal and accordingly generate an alarm.
