Application 246/BOM/1999 published 2006-07-28, filed 1999-04-01
The improved/light-weight trolley comprising a strong main-frame of chassis which is square or rectangular in shape, the chassis is made from any suitable section like L (Angle) or (rectangular) C (Channel) or box made from sheet metal of high strength and high quality, these can also be made from folded sheet metal to improve the strength further and to reduce the burr effect at edges, alternately/additionally the chassis is also made from rectangular or square hollow pipe of ERW construction, axle is attached to the chassis, the axle also light-weight, axle being made from material like seamless pipe and the like, it is hollow in central portion, it has good strengths against bending and torsion, it is flexible and resilient in middle portion, further, to take care of the possibility of slight variation in the distance in between the parallel rails, there is provided a float or adjustment of about 8 mm on the axle; the either end of the axle the ends are plugged by solid shaft of alloy steel. Which is hardened and ground on which bearing of phosphor bronze (PB) or sintered phosphor bornze (SPB) bearings are put on which the wheels made from special grade aluminium LM30 or such alloy and the like which has high strength to weight ratio and also good wear resistance; optionally a sleeve or tube or pipe of hardened wear resistant alloy steel rim is put on the wheel to minimize the wear and tear; on the chassis the engine is mounted on small rubber pads at well spaced points.
