A process that consists of crushing lumps into 10-12 mm granules, mixing in a pug mixer with 30% to 35% water to make homogeneously mixed dough of the mineral attapulgite, extruding in an extruder at a pressure of 3000 kg/cm2 into noodles, which are dried at 90ºC to reduce the moisture level from about 30% to 10%, granulation and sieving to separate the required size.
