. A PROCESS FOR INHIBITING THE ADENOSINETRIPHOSPHATASE

Application 517/DEL/2004 published 2006-05-26, filed 2004-03-19
The present investigation provides A process for inhibiting the adenosinetriphosphatase(ATPase) activity of fish actomyosin using heavy metals. 1. Isolating the actomyosin from Indian oil sardine (Sardinella longiceps). 2. Estimated the Ca2+ ATPase activity of actomyosin in presence of zinc chloride at various pH values and temperatures. 3. Elucidated the inhibitory capacity of these compounds on Ca2+ ATPase activity at varied pH conditions and temperatures, which illustrates that the inhibition is effective in the pH range of 7.0 to 9.0 and the temperature range of 250°C to 450°C.
