The present invention relates to a seawater based medium composition for Spirulina production. Spirulina are blue-green algae belonging to the phylum: Cyanophyta, class Cyanophyceae, order: Nostocales, family: Oscillatoriaceae, genus: Spirulina or Arthrospira. Spirulina, is one of the most comprehensive sources of nutrition has known to man. Algae are rich in gamma linolenic acid (GLA), linoleic and arachidonic acids. They are also rich in iron, protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll.
