DESIGNING A SUB SYSTEM TO RELATE PARENT MATERIAL CODE
Application 802/CHE/2004 published 2006-06-09, filed 2004-08-16
The solution, which is the subject of patent application, is basically for establishing relationship between each (if necessary) Component material of the bill of material (BOM) and the Parent's Processes where by positioning of the Component (Material) is based on just in time (ill) principle. This is applicable very much in case of components involving processes with many cycle days. It is unwise and waste of time to split a Component into Components to achieve the same in a round about way. In fact in Conventional representation ofBOM and Process plan there is a linkage to mean all Components/materials covered in one BOM are all required right in the beginning of the process sequence which is not true in good many cases. The solution which is now being proposed for patenting addresses this very peculiar relationship with a little bit of extended understanding by associating process sequence No with the Component Code. In conventional representation the association is attributed as 00 (by not having any No) which means all are required before the 1st process begins.
