“ A process for the preparation of carbon refractories from the spent cathodes of aluminium smelthing plant”
Application 1011/DEL/2001 published 2006-06-09, filed 2001-09-28
A process described, which after decontaminating rejected cathode blocks from aluminium plant is converted into fine free flowing graphite crystallites with average particle size 20 micro-meter, and these graphite powder after bonding with a clay based refractory mixed fired and converted into graphite-refractories. These carbon-refractories can be used in high temperature metallurgical processes.
