Apparatus for magnetic therapy applicable to a patient including magnet retaining means (12) for retaining a magnet (16) in a fixed disposition with respect to the magnet retaining means. The apparatus is a garment (10) with one or more magnet retaining means at a location on or in the garment corresponding to predetermined positions with respect to the body of the patient. The garment has means (21) to accurately locate the garment, and thereby the magnets, with respect to the body of the patient (14). (FIG. 6)
