SPEED CONTROLLED WATER CLOSET ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR RAILWAY PASSENGER BOGIE
Application 1032/MUM/2001 published 2006-09-15, filed 2001-10-22
Presently in India the excreta from the water closets of railway passenger bogie is directly released on the tracks by an outlet pipe attached to the water closet. This spoils the railway tracks and creates unhygienic conditions on the railway platform. Also a lot of water is wasted and huge expenditure is incurred to clean the tracks. Present invention keeps the tracks of railway platform clean saving a lot of expenditure towards cleaning. The speed controlled water closet attachment device to railway passenger bogie works on speed of train/axle. The water closet is attached with a chamber and an assembly that works on speed of train. Initially the valve of the collecting chamber when the railway bogies is halting at station is closed and if the toilet is used, the excreta is collected in the collection chamber keeping the track at station clean. As soon as the train acquires predetermined speed outside the station, the valve of the collecting chamber opens and discharges the excreta away from railway station. The attachment device works on to or fro motion of the train and is not inter connected to engine or other bogies. No modification is required in the existing design of the railway passenger bogie. This device saves recurring track-cleaning expenditure, a lot of water for cleaning the tracks and prevails hygienic conditions. Drawing Sheets. 02 Total Pages: 08 (FIG.- 01)
