SIZE REDUCTION 1.5 TON WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER USING ENHANCED HEAT TRANSFER RATE.
Application 152/MUM/2005 published 2006-09-15, filed 2005-02-11
Condenser and evaporator of a window air conditioner are made of inner grooved tubes which enhances heat transfer rate. This inner surface on the tube reduces the boundary layer thickness for achieving greater turbulence at the walls. At the airside louvered fins are used in which air intermix with the adjacent fin and greater heat transfer rate is achieved. Thus small size heat exchangers can be employed for same capacity of window air conditioner using the above tube and fin combination. Drawing Sheets: NIL Total Pages: 12. Fig. Nil
