Abstract The Security and Fashion Solar Light works without an external power source or replaceable batteries. Numerous situations in road traffic, disaster areas, dangerous working conditions, or extreme isolation require good visibility of people and gear, and lead to the development of a device which ensures this without any extra effort by the user. The shape and color of the Security and Fashion Solar Light are quite freely adaptable to the intended purpose and opens a certain field to creative design. The Security and Fashion Solar Light consists of solar cells (4) mounted on a hard or flexible foil. This solar cell (4) laminate produces the power feeding the accumulators (5), which can be compiled to small or large power packs (5) - depending on the intended use of the device. An electronically control unit (6) regulates the charge and discharge processes of the accumulators (5). A Switch or a button (1) is used to activate the luminescent light element (2). Depending on the purpose, the activation can be automated by photocell (3).
