EASY PEDALLING OF BICYCLE.

Application 2133/DEL/2006 published 2007-03-30, filed 2006-09-27
For easy pedaling of a bicycle we have to change the angle between both the cranks of a bicycle. In the previous pedaling system of a bicycle, the angle between both the cranks is fixed at 180 degree. on such system both the cranks remain always in the opposite direction to each other. For cycling, a cyclist applies the force of his feet mostly in ‘ABC’ part of pedal revolution path ‘ABCDEFGH’ (figure 1).If the angle between both these cranks is decreased from 180 degree, the pedaling for a cyclist, in the ABC part becomes casier i.e. now he has to apply smaller force in this part. The smaller the angle between both the cranks, the easier the pedaling of a bicycle. The best angle between both the cranks is 135° if the convenience factor for acyclistn is also taken in consideration. This change of angle between both the cranks of a bicycle can be done by changing the shape of a centre axle by manufacturing process, on which both these cranks are fixed.Â
