The invention relates to a device consisting of a box-shaped, upright container (1) with wheels (2, 3) and at least one pivoting front door (4, 5). The container (1) can be closed by the front doors (4, 5) in an air-tight manner. Said container has at least one air valve (6) toward the outside that can be closed and opened, in addition to a device (8) for measuring and storing and for displaying the temperature and the pressure inside the closed container in such a way that it can be read from the outside. Data can be read in a PC in the form of diagrams over a period of at least 14 days by means of an interface. The cooked food is initially cooled at a temperature between 2° C and 4° C and then exposed to vacuum thereby enabling the cooked food to be kept fresh up to 14 days.
