IMPROVED FIRING CARD USING MICROCONTROLLER FOR ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR POWER CONTROL

An improved firing card uses a microcontroller (4) to generate the firing pulses. The duty cycle of the output pulses is programmable. It has provision for error detection and indication (5) in case of a facility input signal from the electrostatic precipitator controller. Once an error is detected, it stops the firing pulses for duration of three seconds, after which the system automatically restarts and checks for error. (FIG. - Nil )
