A process for manufacture of hot rolled steel with reduced tertiary type rolled in scales generated after the pinch roll descaler comprising maintaining slab drop out temperature in the reheating furnaces in the range of 1200-1230 0C and maintaining finishing entry temperature in range of 900- 930 0C so as to achieve reduction of hematite to reduce such scaling on surface of coils.
