: A MICROSATELLITE DNA MARKER USED FOR INDENTIFYING DISEASE RESISTANT POPULATIONS OF PENAEUS MONODON

Application 1054/KOL/2005 published 2007-07-27, filed 2005-11-21
This invention relates to a Microsatellite DNA market used for identifying disease resistant populations of Penaeus monodon. The said Microsatellite upon PCR amplification generates a unique statistically significant DNA band of 71bp specific for disease susceptible along with a band of 317 bp, whereas disease resistant population showed only 317 bp band and absence of 71 bp band.
